Ten new COVID-19 cases in Howell Co.

Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 10 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to one hundred ninety-six.

Currently, there are thirty-three known active cases in the county. Of the thirty-three cases, two are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

All ten of the new cases reside in the West Plains area. All ten cases are currently isolating under public health guidance and every case’s infection was community spread, or the infections were from an unknown source and one has been linked to a known case. Significant contacts to these cases have been notified by the health department. There were no exposures to the general public related to any of these cases.
