Texas County, Mo. – The annual Texas County Siren Bowl is coming up soon. The game will be between Texas County law enforcement and the fire department, and it will serve as a fundraiser for Texas County.
On Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., head over to the Houston Tiger Baseball Field to watch the game while supporting a good cause. Admission is $3 per person, and concessions will be available. There will also be a silent auction. All proceeds from the game will benefit the Texas County Shop With A Hero Program.
The Texas County Shop With A Hero Program is an annual event designed to provide Christmas gifts for children who may not otherwise receive them. Local heroes, including law enforcement, the fire department, and other prominent figures from the community, accompany the children as they shop. Each child is given a set amount of money to spend on any item they choose, with their hero acting as a chaperone and companion throughout the day. The program is supported by various fundraisers held throughout the year to ensure these children have a memorable Christmas.
