Houston, MO. – A Salem, Missouri man has been arrested after being accused of molesting a child under the age of 12 during the month of November 2023.
Leslee Cook, age 45, was arrested earlier this month on the charges of statutory sodomy and child molestation-both with a child less than 12 years of age, and is being held in the Texas County Jail on a $250,000 cash or surety bond.
Online court documents state a child reported on January 10, 2024, she was being molested by Cook beginning on November 23, 2023. The child reported the molestation was occurring daily, accusing Cook of touching her inappropriately when he went to wake her up and at other times.
Following Cook’s arrest, a deputy reported that Cook said he had not been recently waking the child up for school due to her “coming of age”. Cook has an arraignment scheduled for Jan. 23, 2024.
