West Plains, MO – A Texas County man suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened on Route M, 5 miles north of Bendavis at 2:20 p.m.
A northbound 1998 Chevy Tracker driven by Ethan McCown, 18 of Huggins, swerved to avoid a vehicle when it ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting McCown. The driver had not been wearing a seatbelt.

McCown was flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment of his injuries.
This accident was investigated by Trooper Z. B. Tate of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G.
