Texas County, MO. – On March 29, 2024, Texas County Memorial Hospital had a ribbon cutting and grand opening for their new surgical center. The new surgical center will be undergoing a state inspection on April 15 and, if they pass inspection, will be open for operations on April 17.
The new surgical center was a $3.7 million project and measures at 7,000 square feet. It features a preoperative and recovery area, semi-private and isolation accommodations, two surgery suites, a procedure suite, and a central sterile department. All funding for the project came from multiple places, such as the USDA, Delta Region Authority, state appropriations, South Central Ozarks Council of Governments, a community improvement district, and donations from the community.
