West Plains, MO. – Yesterday, the Howell County Sheriff’s Office made a public announcement about an arrest that took place earlier in the week, where a fugitive from Texas was found residing in West Plains.
This arrest was preceded by the receiving of information from law enforcement with Tyler County, Texas, about a wanted woman likely residing within the local area.

The wanted woman was identified as Audrey Cain, 37, who was wanted for Violation of Civil Rights of a Person in Custody, Improper Sexual Activity, and having a Prohibited Item in a Correctional Facility.
Cain was found at a residence on County Road 4420 and was arrested without further incident.
