Thayer, MO. – Around midnight this morning the Thayer Police Department made a public announcement and report regarding a vehicular accident that occurred on US 63 near Front Street within the city limits of Thayer.
The date and time of this crash was 3:58pm of April 5th, 2023. The timeline of events goes that Ashley Whitelock, a 36-year-old female from Alton was stopped during traffic congestion in a 2007 Chevy van with 7 juveniles inside. Then, Michael Crews, a 69-year-old Thayer resident, rear-ended the van with his Dodge truck.
Crews and two juveniles were transported to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, but it is not reported how serious the injuries were.
The Thayer Police Department also wished to thank the Thayer Fire Department, the Oregon County Ambulance, and Legacy Towing for assistance during the event.
