West Plains, MO. – As a follow-up to a donation made earlier in the year of First Night Kits aimed toward serving infants and toddlers, The Chaos Closet has donated eighteen hygiene kits to serve teens and older youth in foster care to Children’s Division. These kits include body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, mouthwash, feminine hygiene products, and more. In addition to these necessities, the kits also include a gift certificate for a haircut generously donated by Keara Johnson Hair Studio in West Plains.
DeeDee Button, Executive Director for The Chaos Closet, says “We are so thankful for the continued support that allows these necessities to be provided to our community’s children. I hope these kits will provide a level of comfort and allow the child to hold on to their dignity.”
Children’s Division Circuit Manager Shawn Bentley had this to say about the donation, “We at the Children’s Division appreciate the Chaos Closet. It helps serve our children and youth who are in the foster system. These hygiene kits will help our children who sometimes come in with little to nothing. It gives them their own necessities which helps builds their independence and their security.”
