West Plains, MO. – The Avenue Theatre is holding a production called “The Game”. Joy Pace, the Vice President of the Board of Directors for The Arts on the Avenue with the Historic Avenue Theatre, announced what the play is about.
The performance of The Game is a suicide awareness production. The Game of Bryant’s title is an ancient contest in which the allegorical characters of “Life” and “Death” compete for the living. The subjects at the moment are “Youth” and “The Girl”, who have both met at the edge of a precipice where they’ve separately come to end their lives because of unhappiness with their former lives. However, Life wins this game and proves that it is worth choosing the road of life.
This production will be held on September 20th and 21st starting at 7 p.m. and held again on September 22nd starting at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at https://theavenuetheatre.org/.
