Howell County, Mo. — The Howell County Sheriff’s Office has officially announced the name of its newest K9 member. After inviting the community to submit name suggestions, the department narrowed the choices down to a select few and allowed the public to cast the final vote.
This morning, the Sheriff’s Office revealed that the newest member of the team will be known as K9 Flash, alongside his handler, Deputy Gordon. The community vote determined the final ranking of the name choices:

In the announcement, Sheriff Matt Roberts expressed his gratitude to the community, stating, “We appreciate all of the votes, and Deputy Gordon and Flash look forward to serving Howell County! Both are headed to training soon. Thank you, everyone!”
