WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The Lincoln School Project will host a special program on August 8, 2026, celebrating the life and legacy of Miss Inez Parker Griggs as part of the school’s 100‑year anniversary. The event, held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Lincoln School, is free and open to the public.
Dr. Larry Gragg, historian and author, will present a detailed look at Griggs’ life, highlighting her impact as an influential Ozarker from Rolla and her contributions to education and community life. The program is part of the Lincoln School Project’s ongoing mission to preserve local history and inspire community engagement.
The anniversary event continues the organization’s efforts to honor the people and stories that shaped the region, inviting residents to learn more about Griggs’ remarkable legacy.
The Lincoln School is located at 1300 Pony Thomas Drive in West Plains.
