West Plains, MO. – The Avenue Theatre in historic downtown West Plains will be showing their latest production beginning this Friday. It’s a well-known piece of media that had a movie and even a television series.
It’s called “The Odd Couple”, and it was originally written by a man named Neil Simon. The story follows a pair of divorced men, Felix Unger and Oscar Madison, as they share a Manhattan apartment and discover their opposite traits make for a slew of conflicts and comedic moments.
Chris Herbolsheimer, both a director and performer in the play, came to the studio to talk to us about the production:
The first performance begins this Friday at 7pm, and further performances will occur on the 18th, 21st, 23rd, 24th, and 25th. All of these showings will be at the same time. Two more showings will happen on March 19th and 26th, with those showings scheduled for 3pm.
Tickets can be purchased for $10 and can be bought at the door, The Avenue Bagel Company, or online at theavenuetheatre.org.
