Ozark County deputies arrested a business’ former employee after owners reported violent threats made inside their Theodosia business. According to a probable cause statement, the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on October 8, when 46‑year‑old Elwyn “Tony” Delk entered the establishment and became agitated while discussing his recent termination.
Security video reviewed by Deputy Matthew Rhoades shows Delk making vulgar gestures toward the camera and stating that he would “stab Victim 1 if given the opportunity.” The owners also reported Delk threatened to “shoot up the establishment.” Both expressed fear for their safety and noted that Delk and a roommate keep multiple firearms at their on‑site residence.
Deputy Rhoades later contacted Delk at the residence. Delk first claimed he only said he wished someone else would stab the owner, but then admitted he “might have said something about stabbing her,” while insisting he would not act on it.
Based on the video, victim statements, and Delk’s partial admission, deputies arrested him for first‑degree harassment, and peace disturbance. He was transported to the Ozark County Jail where he is being held without bond.
