Theodosia Man Arrested on Threats to “Shoot Up” Sheriff’s Office

Gainesville, MO. – The Ozark County Sheriff’s Department recently made an announcement about an arrest that occurred last month in the middle of December.

The man arrested in this case was Brady Jonas, a 50-year-old resident of Theodosia. According to the probable cause affidavit on the case, Jonas had been calling the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office through their emergency line since March of 2023 with repeated threats of shooting everyone inside.

The calls in December had escalated with Jonas threatening a specific off-duty employee of the Sheriff’s Office, and that he believed this employee had kidnapped his daughter and was holding her hostage. With this and his general harassment towards other members of the local community, Jonas was arrested for misuse of the 911 line, as well as a 1st Degree charge of Terroristic Threatening.
