This Weekend is Halloween Weekend; Drive Carefully, and Don’t Drink & Drive

As this is the weekend before Halloween, we should all be aware that many people will be having get-togethers, both public and private. Alcohol is bound to be involved in some festivities and we would like to wish everyone a safe holiday weekend.

If you’re going to be involved in a gathering that has alcohol, make sure none of it makes it to minors. In addition, if you plan to partake as an adult, ensure you have appropriate plans in place to make sure everyone makes it back home uninjured. Remember that even if you believe it will be safe to do so, law enforcement will be out in force to ensure no one is acting recklessly.

Kyle Holloway, a Public Information Officer with the Howell County Sheriff’s Office had this to say to the public.

In addition, as many minors will likely walking the streets in the next week, ensure you’re driving at your best level of caution going forward.
