This Week’s Featured Pets Of The Day! Click Here And See The Adorable Pets!

Pet Lovers! – Once again, as promised, here is your weekly wrap-up and videos of the Featured Pet of the Day. To those who don’t know, this program was started to raise awareness for pets that are still looking for their forever homes. Pets that are recovering from past traumas or just who never had a home of their own. Ozark Radio News is also trying to help with the overcrowding problems that animal shelters and rescues are facing now. I do have more videos of these guys this week, so let us get started. I apologize ahead of time that some videos go slightly blurry at different points.

On Monday, we celebrated National Dog Day with Ollie. Ollie is currently being held at Mountain Grove Animal Control. This handsome little boy is a Black Mouth Cur mix and is around 2 to 3 years old. He is a smart guy, who is already potty trained, leash trained, and knows how to sit, shake, come to his name, and enjoys rides in cars. Ollie does great with people, other dogs, and cats. He loves to get loved and is overly enthusiastic about everything. This sweet little boy has been waiting a while to find his forever family and has the widest soulful eyes. If you are interested in adopting this sweet, handsome, well-mannered boy contact Mountain Grove Animal Control at 417-259-9180. The fee to adopt Ollie is $25. The owner must neuter him within 30 days of adoption. Please share and help Ollie find his forever home.

On Tuesday, we featured four different kittens. Cupid, Ocean, Lynx, and Shyness. These four kittens are being fostered by a family part of the Ozarks Pet Rescue. They are very good with children. Especially Cupid, he is a complete cuddlebug. Ocean has been spayed already and Lynx and Shyness are very attentive. All do very well in a kennel and do not seem to mind being around dogs either. These four kittens are not all a part of the same litter but get along with each other. I say this so you know that they a good with other cats. These guys are very playful and love pets. If you are interested in adopting any of these four cuddle babies and giving them a forever home, contact Ozarks Pet Rescue at 417-372-9820. Adoption fees for kittens are $100, adult cats are $75, and dogs are $150.

On Wednesday, the featured beauty of the day was Kovu. He is the sweetest pup ever! Kovu is an 8-month-old Rottweiler mix. He has spent almost his entire life in the Mountain Grove Animal Control facilities and he is ready for his first home! Kovu is going to be a large-sized dog when he is fully grown. He is super sweet and very loyal but is kind of shy at the first sighting of new people. He is leash-trained and has been dewormed. He is very good with humans and other dogs but is kind of unsure about other cats. He is not potty trained yet. If I am going, to be honest, when I went to meet and get pictures of the dogs at Mountain Grove Animal Control, I fell completely in love with this puppy and his playful nature as soon as he came out of the back. If I did not already have 7 dogs, I would have brought this guy home. If you want to give Kovu his first home contact the Mountain Grove Animal Control at 417-259-9180. The adoption fee for kovu is $25 and the owner will be expected to vaccinate for rabies within 7 days and neuter within 30 days of adoption.

Thursday brought around a sweet gorgeous girl named Audra. She is an Extra Large Shepard mix and such a sweetheart. Audra is well-trained on the leash, potty trained, and listens pretty well. She is pretty good with other dogs but is still unsure about cats. And even better she is the perfect picture of mom dog. No, she doesn’t have puppies but she claims kids as her own. Audra absolutely loves kids and humans. Please don’t be put off by her big size, she is gentle and respectful of smaller-sized humans and animals and really wants to find her forever home. Audra has recently been dewormed. If you are interested in giving this big sweetheart a chance, contact Mountain Grove Animal Control at 417-259-9180. The fee to adopt Audra is $25. The adopter is expected to spay her within 30 days and vaccinate for rabies within 7 days of adoption.

On Friday, which is today, we featured Nova. Nova is a charming girl and extremely loyal to her people once she knows them. She is already outstanding on a leash and is potty trained. She gets along well with other dogs once they have an introduction. She is not good with cats, but please don’t let this be why you look over this beautiful girl. When it comes to her personality, in the little time that I got to stay there, I figured out that this girl is a sweet baby and enthusiastic without being too tough despite her size. Someone pulled up while I was there and she was so happy to meet the new person (this will be shown in the video). Some people overlook Rottweilers, because of their looks and believe that they are dangerous, but please look at Nova and consider her before you skip over her. She is chill and sweet. If you are interested in adopting or visiting Nova, contact Mountain Grove Animal Control at 417-259-9180.
