This Weeks Wrap-Ups and Videos For Featured Pet Of The Day

Pet Lovers! – Here it is again, folks! The wrap-up and videos of all of this week’s Featured Pets of the Day. This program was started to help local shelters and rescues with their overcrowding problems and to bring awareness to all the babies who are still looking for their forever homes. These pets can range from ages of 2 weeks to as old as a dog can get. they have been through abandonments and abusers, and some have just never had a home. These posts were designed to let people know about the personalities of these dogs so they will think of adopting them and give the dogs a second chance.

This week’s animals were all from the West Plains Animal Care and Control. This means that none of these animals have names. This week, I asked you guys what you would name them. This was all curiosity.

On Monday, the featured animal of the day was this beautiful little girl. She is staying at West Plains Animal Care and Control. She weighs around 40 pounds and is believed to be a Collie Mix. I spent some time with her last week and I can say that she is a little bundle of joy. She does have quite some energy but loves the people around her. She loves playing outside and gets along well with other dogs. I do not know about cats and other animals, though. She walks very well on a leash and listens pretty well to commands. She really is a sweetheart. They believe that she is around 1 year old. She has been held here since the beginning of July. Her impound number is #2267. Please think about adopting this sweet little girl. She would love a forever home. I mean, LOOK AT THOSE EARS! They are adorable. If you are interested in adopting this sweet bundle of energy contact the West Plains Animal Care and Control at 417-255-1860. Pay attention the rest of the week for more Featured Pets of the Day and because I am curious, what would you guys name this beautiful baby?

On Tuesday, the Featured pet was the cutest floppy-eared puppy. She has been held in the West Plains Animal Care and Control since the beginning of July. They believe that she is a shepherd mix. She is 19 pounds and 4 months old. She is already almost completely leash-trained. She came in with two other puppies, and she is the last baby left. This pretty little girl with floppy ears is a total sweetheart. I spent time with her last week and she was all for the love. We let her out to play, and the only thing she wanted was love and pets. She loves the other dogs in the shelter and gives big hugs to the people who are there to play with her. When she came in, she had to go through many vet appointments and treatments to fix her condition. But she is now completely healthy and up to date on her shots. If you want to give this puppy her first forever home, contact West Plains Animal Care and Control at 417-255-1860. Keep watching for more Featured Pets this week and pay attention to the wrap-up and videos on Friday. Again since I am curious, what would you guys name this baby?

On Wednesday, the featured pet was a stout little man. He is such a sweetheart and is very full of energy. I mean, look at that smile! This boy has been at the West Plains Animal Care and Control for an entire year. He is a 60-pound pit mix but has such a kind heart. He is trained on the leash and goes for enjoyable walks at least 2 times a week. He loves humans and gets along, from what I can tell, with all the other dogs in the shelter. When I was there with him, he definitely had his sniffer going and had all the energy for playing. Please consider giving this boy a home. They believe that he could be around 3 to 4 years old. If you are interested in giving this handsome man a home, contact West Plains Animal Care and Control at 417-255-1860. Impound #2216. Remember to keep watching out for the Featured Pet of the Day post and watch on Friday for the wrap-ups and videos. Here is the question again, what would you name this handsome man?

On Thursday, we featured the sweetest little female puppy. She is currently one of four boxer mix babies waiting to be picked up from the West Plains Animal Care and Control to find their first home. She is estimated to be around 8 weeks old and has been waiting for a home since the middle of August. This little girl has not had a lot of leash training due to her size but absolutely loves people. I spent some time with her, and she is a very curious little puppy and really smart. She was the only one of her siblings who was not afraid of the chair sitting in the lobby. She loves attention and pets and is asking for someone to take her home and give her the love she clearly deserves. This adorable little girl is ready to be adopted and is asking you to contact West Plains Animal Control at 417-255-1860. Pay attention to more Featured Pets and for the wrap-ups and videos tomorrow. Once again, what would you guys name this sweet baby? Remember, this is entirely about me wanting to know what you guys think.

On Friday or today, we featured another handsome boy. This boy is a 50-pound pit mix and has been at the West Plains Animal Care and Control facility since May. This boy is a sweet little guy. Well, I guess not so little. But he is full of energy and gets along well with other dogs. He loves to play with humans and already is very good with directions. He does really well on the leash and loves to get attention. This big smiler is looking for a home and is asking for people to give him a chance to show you he is the best boy. If you are interested in adopting this man, contact West Plains Animal Care and Control at 417-255-1860. Thanks for looking at this week’s featured pets. Please watch out for next week and look at the wrap-ups and videos. What would you name this boy? What does his face say his name should be? Thanks for answering my questions this week! Have a good weekend, everyone!
