Squires, MO. – On June 18th, Douglas County law enforcement apprehended three people transporting methamphetamine in a U-Haul truck.
This happened after a traffic stop. Deputy Aaron Box and Corporal James Nelson were a part of the investigation. The three in the vehicle exhibited suspicious activity, which led to further investigation. After a lengthy back-and-forth between suspects and law enforcement, meth was found inside the vehicle in multiple places.
Arrested were Timothy Long, Micah Piece, and Stephen Hooker. All were taken to the Douglas County Jail with a bond of $5,000. Long has received additional charges due to not only being the driver, but also his history of DWI and driving while revoked, which was also the case in this incident.
