Texas County, MO. – The Texas County Sheriff’s Department recently released a report of two area children missing in Texas County.
On May 25, a Texas County deputy responded to a call about a runaway juvenile boy. The boy’s mother said that she saw her son run down the driveway and get into a dark-colored pickup parked on the side of the road. The woman also told the deputy that her 14-year-old son is African American. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and black pants. She could not think of anyone who would come to pick him up and the boy’s father does not reside in Missouri. The boy was posted as missing. The investigation is ongoing. The boy’s name is Alexander Asbury. No picture was provided.
On May 25, a deputy responded to another report of a runaway child. The man and woman who called said the boy is 16-years-old. His name is Jordan Hopwood and he is a foster child. He ran away the night of the 24th. His bike was still in the yard and the dog that always followed him for walks was still at the residence. The boy was posted as missing and an investigation is ongoing. The picture of Jordan Hopwood is below. He is 5’8″ and weighs around 150 lbs. He is missing from Raymondville, Missouri.
On May 31, 2024, Ivy Pogue, a 17-year-old white female from Licking, Missouri, was reported missing. No picture has been provided and no further description.
