Salem, AR. – Three inmates in the Fulton County Jail have managed to pick up a felony charge after they were caught damaging an electrical outlet in December.
This happened on December 16th. According to the probable cause affidavit, three inmates, Chandler Carlo, Steven Hamilton, and Edward Hoyer were caught damaging an outlet of the Fulton County Detention Center. This happened when staff reacted to the smell of something burning within the facility.
After a review of camera footage, it was seen that the three were attempting to go through a process of shaving down pencil lead, blocking cameras, and inserting the lead into an electrical socket, which led to sparks and the burning smell.
All three inmates are facing a class C felony charge of Impairing Operation of a Vital Public Facility, and a class A misdemeanor charge of Arson. Hamilton and Hoyer will also be picking up charges for being habitual offenders.
