West Plains, MO. – On the morning of Thursday, August 10th, three individuals were injured in an overturn crash near West Plains.
The driver in this accident was Justice Martin, an 18-year-old West Plains native. He was operating a Ford Mustang while traveling Westbound on US 160. At around 9:40 am, roughly 5 miles West of West Plains, Justice traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned the vehicle.
The vehicle was totaled, and the driver and two occupants were injured. The driver was wearing his safety device and only sustained minor injuries. The two occupants were identified as Zevi Whittingham, 22 of West Plains, and George Jenkins, 21. Both were seriously injured in the accident, and all were taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. Whittingham is reported to have not been wearing a safety device, and for Jenkins, safety device use is listed as unknown.
The investigator of this crash was Trooper L.C. Pruiett of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
