Three Men Sentenced to Prison Drug Possession in Douglas County

West Plains, MO. – The Douglas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office released information about the following defendants sentenced to the Missouri Department of Corrections during Circuit Law Day on December 6, 2022:

Trenton J. Farr, age 28 of Marshfield, was sentenced to 7 years in prison for Possession of Methamphetamine. The offense occurred in May of 2021 and was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Kevin L. Fullington, age 49 of Mansfield, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for Possession of Methamphetamine and 3 years in prison for Tampering with Electronic Monitoring Equipment. The cases  will run concurrently. The offenses occurred in July of 2019 and in June of 2020 and were investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and Court Probationary Services.

Kenny R. Rosenbum, age 47 of Mountain View, was sentenced to 3 years in prison for Resisting Arrest. The offense occurred in June of 2022 and was investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.

James E. Smith, age 44 of Springfield, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for Possession of Heroin and 10 years in prison for Possession of Fentanyl. The charges will run concurrently. Smith was ordered to complete Institutional Treatment while incarcerated. The offenses occurred in January 2020 and was investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.

There were 45 felony cases on the docket with some still being conducted by video. There were 6 felony guilty pleas, 2 misdemeanor guilty pleas, and 2 failure to appear warrants entered.
