Three Seymour Juveniles Injured in Crash Involving Two Amish Buggies

Seymour, MO. – Three juveniles in an Amish buggy were injured in a collision Wednesday morning.

This Webster County crash involved three vehicles, a Chevy Traverse driven by Shekinah Heil, 35 of Seymour, and a pair of Amish buggies, operated by Danny Schwartz, 35, and Samuel Schwartz, 19, both of Seymour.

According to the crash report, Heil was exiting a driveway on Highway P, 5 miles north of Seymour. The buggy driven by Danny Schwartz was attempting to pass the second buggy driven by Samuel Schwartz, when the second buggy was struck by the Traverse. The second buggy then struck the first.

Injuries in the accident are listed as one 17-year-old male with minor injuries, and two 15-year-old females, one with minor injuries, and another with injuries listed as serious. The male was released on the scene, but the two 15-year-olds were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

The investigator on this crash was Trooper Z Dudley of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop D.
