Three Teens Injured, Two Seriously Hurt in Thursday Crash

Ellington, MO. – Three teens riding in a Chevy Impala have been injured after a one-vehicle crash occurred on Thursday afternoon.

The driver of the Impala is identified as Timothy James, 18 of Piedmont. He and his passengers, a 16-year-old female and a 17-year-old-male from Ellington, were travelling Eastbound on Highway HH. At around 9 miles South of Ellington, their vehicle travelled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

None involved in the crash were wearing their safety devices. James and the 16-year-old female were seriously injured, and were air-lifted to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. The 17-year-old male suffered minor injuries and was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional for treatment.

The investigator of this crash was Corporal M.L. Freeman of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
