Three-Vehicle Crash Injures Two from Mountain Home

Ava, MO. – A crash in Douglas county has damaged three vehicles and injured two from Mountain Home, AR.

This accident occurred at roughly 7:45pm on Saturday, October 15th. A 2015 Hyundai Veloster was travelling Northbound on Highway 5, driven by Christopher Farrel, 36 of Springfield. Farrel then crossed the center line and struck a Southbound 2021 Toyota Rav4, left the left side of the roadway and overturned.

The collision caused the Rav4 to travel off the right and then left side of the roadway, damaging guardrails on both sides. A third vehicle was struck by debris from the crash, causing minor damage.

According to the report, Farrel was not injured in the crash. The driver and a passenger of the Rav4, Nicole and Matthew Hershberger, 47 and 48 of Mountain Home, sustained minor and moderate injuries, and were transported to Baxter Regional for treatment.

This accident was investigated by Sergeant L.S. Elliott of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
