Two 80‑year‑old Caulfield men were injured Wednesday afternoon in a rear‑end crash on Highway 101, about eight miles north of Bakersfield.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 12:10 p.m. as both a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 and a John Deere tractor were traveling southbound. The Dodge Ram struck the rear of the tractor, causing extensive damage to the truck. while the tractor sustained minor damage.

The driver of the truck suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Howell County EMS to Ozarks Healthcare. The tractor driver received minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to the hospital.
Caulfield, Bakersfield, and Tecumseh fire departments assisted at the scene.
