Traffic Accident Near Winona Injures Driver

A 21-year-old male driver from Winona, Missouri, sustained minor injuries in a crash early on the morning of April 3, 2025, on MO H, approximately four miles east of Winona. The incident, which occurred at 6:28 AM, has been under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

According to the MSHP report, the driver, operating a 2004 GMC Sierra, was attempting to avoid a deer crossing the roadway. In an effort to prevent a collision with the animal, the driver swerved, which caused the vehicle to veer off the left side of the road. The vehicle then struck a road sign and overturned, resulting in the total loss of the vehicle. He was transported by a private vehicle to Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View, MO, for treatment.
