A routine traffic stop by the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office on the night of Monday, March 24, led to the arrest of a wanted individual on drug-related charges.
At approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in Winona and identified a passenger as David Munn. A background check revealed that Munn had a no-bond statewide extradition warrant for possession of a controlled substance and a probation violation.
Further investigation uncovered that Munn was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, both felony offenses. He was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Carter County Jail while awaiting further legal proceedings.
The Shannon County Sheriff’s Office reaffirmed its commitment to keeping the community safe and reducing drug-related crimes. Authorities emphasize that, under the law, all accused individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
