Traffic Stop in Winona Leads to Arrest on Drug Charges

A routine traffic stop by the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office on the night of Monday, March 24, led to the arrest of a wanted individual on drug-related charges.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in Winona and identified a passenger as David Munn. A background check revealed that Munn had a no-bond statewide extradition warrant for possession of a controlled substance and a probation violation.

Further investigation uncovered that Munn was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, both felony offenses. He was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Carter County Jail while awaiting further legal proceedings.
