“Trick or Treat at the Casey House” will again be hosted by the Baxter County Historical Society on Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The Casey House is located on the Northeast corner of the Fairgrounds at the intersection of Wade Street and Arena Drive. Parking is available on Wade Street. The event is free and is kid-friendly.
The Casey House was built in 1858 by Col. Randolph Casey and is the oldest still-standing structure in Mountain Home. It features two rooms separated by a dog trot breezeway. The Casey house is the site of the first county court and Mountain Home post office.
The Casey House is owned by Baxter County and maintained by the Baxter County Historical Society. The Society meets the fourth Tuesday of each month.
