Twelve and Thirteen-Year-Old Injured in ATV Accident

Seymour, MO. – According to a recent report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, injuries range from moderate to serious for a pair of juveniles involved in an ATV accident on Wednesday, February 7th.

The location of this accident was Hollyhock Drive, 3 miles east of Seymour in the territory of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop D. One 12-year-old male from Seymour was operating a Kawasaki ATV when they went off the right side of the roadway and struck a concrete block. The ATV overturned, and both the operator and a 13-year-old male passenger were ejected.

The 12-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Cox South in Springfield, while the 13-year-old suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the same location via ground ambulance. Neither were wearing a safety device.
