Licking, MO. – Two additional deaths have been announced from the South Central Correctional Center in Licking. The announcement was released just earlier this week.
The first of these two new deaths occurred on Thursday, October 26th. The individual was identified as Benjamin Powell, 33, who was serving an 18-year sentence due to a conviction of DWI which resulted in serious injury or death. He had been in the Department of Corrections since 2020.
The second of these announced deaths happened on Saturday, October 28th. The deceased was identified as Chris Guest, 43, who was serving a 30-year sentence for three counts of 1st Degree Statutory Rape. He had been in the Department of Corrections since 2004.
Autopsies for both been have been organized.
