Mansfield, MO. – On Sunday, April 10, just before 1 a.m., an officer with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests on methamphetamine related charges. Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Shane Loper, 36 of Springfield, and Summer Symes, 42 of Mansfield.
Loper was on probation for possession and tampering with a motor vehicle. Loper denied consent to search. K9 Ace was then deployed and alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, suspected methamphetamine, glass pipes and syringes were located.
Both subjects were arrested for possession and paraphernalia and transported to Wright County Sheriff’s Department. Summer Symes has since bonded and Shane Loper remains in custody.
