Two Artistic Happenings Taking Place in Downtown West Plains this Weekend

West Plains, MO. – Two cultural events will be taking place in downtown West Plains this weekend, both of which are the feature of this week’s West Plains Arts Alliance with Terry Hampton.

First up is the Ozarks Studies Symposium, put on by MSU-West Plains, September 19th through the 21st. This yearly event is put on as a way to celebrate and look at the culture and history of the Ozarks, which made it what it is today. This year’s theme is “The Political Economy of the Ozarks”.

After that, taking place at the Avenue Theatre, is a production called “The Game”, showing on September 20th, 21st, and 22nd. This performance is all put together as a suicide awareness piece, is all about the characters “Life” and “Death” competing over the lives of the masses.
