Two Birch Tree Residents Hospitalized After Sunday Accident

Alton, MO. – Two Birch Tree residents have been injured while travelling North of Alton on Sunday, June 18th.

Time and location of this crash was 12:55pm on the Southbound lane of Highway 19, four miles North of Alton.

The driver was Joshua Stroh, a 35-year-old Birch Tree man. He was operating a Ford Explorer when he travelled off the right side of the roadway. Stroh then overcorrected and ended back off the right side of the roadway before striking both a fence and a tree.

The vehicle was totaled, and both Stroh and one passenger, Sabrina Cuchine, 37 of Birch Tree, were seriously injured as a result of the accident. Both were transported to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment. Neither were wearing their safety device.

The investigator of this accident was Trooper A.K. Falterman of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
