Two in Serious Condition Following Memorial Day Head-On Collision

Alton, MO. – Two individuals are in serious condition after a crash that occurred late on Monday, May 29th.

The investigator of this Memorial Day accident was Trooper L.C. Pruiett of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G. The crash took place at 9:35pm on Highway E.

Alton resident Angelia Tilman, 58 of Alton, MO. was the driver of a Southbound Chevy Cobalt. 6 Miles South of Alton, Tilman crossed the center of the roadway and struck a second vehicle head-on.

The second vehicle was a Dodge Caravan, operated by Ronnie Blackstein, a 51-year-old Stover, MO. resident. The driver was uninjured, but one occupant, 46-year-old Lillian Blackstein, was seriously injured.

Blackstein was air lifted to the Regional Medical Center of Memphis for care, and Tilman was transported by ground ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains.
