Two Families Lose Homes in Fire, Pomona Community to Hold Benefit Auction and Fish Fry

Pomona, MO. – Two families in Pomona have lost their homes in the past week. Reports from the area are that one home caught fire, and the other was additionally caught up in the blaze.

The community of Pomona is pulling together to help lessen the blow on the Bittick and Rainey families. The Fish Fry and Auction are to begin at noon tomorrow, and will be held at the Pomona Fire Department.

Those involved have stated they have purchased around 70lbs of fish and will continue to fry it until all of it has been purchased. An auction will be taking place as well, and all proceeds from this event will go to the families.
