Laclede, MO. – Two individuals from California were fatally injured following a crash involving a semi-truck and a minivan.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash occurred on June 8, 2024, at 6:45 p.m. on I-44. 58-year-old Manuk Gengozyan from California was driving a 2015 Freightliner, headed east, when he traveled off the left side of the roadway, crossed the median, and struck a westbound minivan head-on. 75-year-old Allan Borgen and 54-year-old Isabelle Busse, both from California, were fatally injured in the crash. Gengozyan was not injured in the crash.
This is Troop I’s 3rd and 4th fatality for June and 16th and 17th for 2024.
The crash was investigated by Trooper D.R. Willhite, MCIU Master Sergeant P.W. Meyers, Master Sergeant J.J. McDonald, Master Sergeant G.A. Weddle, and Trooper T.R. Adelman.
