Two Individuals Seriously Injured After Crashing Into A Tree

Pulaski County, MO. – On June 23, 2024, two individuals were seriously injured following a crash that occurred at 9:56 a.m. 

6 miles west of Crocker on Highway U, 21-year-old Jerry Halton, an individual from Dallas, Texas, was driving west when he ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Halton and 25-year-old Zachary Wideman, a passenger from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, were both seriously injured in the crash and taken to the University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. The vehicle driven was a 2020 Hino 268, which was totaled in the incident. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, both individuals involved in the crash failed to wear their seat belts.
