Edgar Springs, MO. – A man from Edgar Springs has been arrested and two have been injured after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, March 8th.
According to the report, the crash occurred on US 63 at the intersection of Highway M in Edgar Springs at 4:45pm. A Westbound GMC truck drove into US 63 and into the path of an oncoming Buick Enclave. The Enclave then struck the GMC from the side, totaling it.
The driver of the GMC, Austin Baird, 37 of Edgar Springs, was not wearing his safety device and was moderately injured. The driver of the Buick was uninjured, but a passenger, 72-year-old Belinda Lewis of Licking, MO, suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported to Phelps Health in Rolla for treatment.
Baird is facing charges of DWI (drugs), Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, and No Seatbelt.
The investigator of this crash was Trooper K.P. Hunt of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop I.
