Winona, MO. – Two children were injured when a semi-truck crashed near Winona on Wednesday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:35 p.m. on US 60, two miles east of Winona.
A Peterbilt Tractor driven by Jerry Thrasher, age 46 of Owensboro, Kentucky, was westbound on US 60 when his load shifted, causing the truck and trailer to overturn and run off the right side of the road. The truck was totaled in the crash.
Thrasher was not reported as being injured but two 10-year-old juvenile females passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Mercy-St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View for treatment.
