Two new deputies have joined the Howell County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division following a swearing‑in ceremony on July 20. Deputy Emma Roberts and Deputy First Class Michael Lewis took their oaths before 37th Circuit Judge Steven Privette.

Roberts has served the county for the past two years as a jailer and will now transition to patrol while continuing her work in the jail and managing the county’s Sex Offender Registry. Lewis returns to Howell County after serving with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, bringing additional experience to the patrol division.
Sheriff’s officials say they are proud to welcome both deputies and look forward to the professionalism and service they will bring to the community.
