Licking, MO. – Two inmates of the South Central Correctional Center in Licking died minutes apart this morning.
Lamarco Love, age 26, and Christopher Scroggins, age 23, were pronounced dead at the Texas County Memorial Hospital this morning at 1:23 a.m. and 1:32 a.m., respectively. The cause of death of the two men is currently unknown and autopsies will be performed.
Love was serving a 10-year sentence for two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action from St. Louis City and was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on July 23, 2019.
Scroggins was serving a 15-year sentence for first-degree burglary and second-degree burglary from Lafayette County and was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on Oct. 20, 2016.
