Two people who pleaded guilty in the stabbing death of a Salem, Arkansas man a year ago have been sentenced. Investigators say Derek Hamilton died during an altercation. Shawn Cox and Anna Hamilton were both charged last January. Anna Hamilton was sentenced to probation, while Shawn Cox was sentenced to six years in prison.
The body of Derek Hamilton, age 26, was found with multiple stab wounds at a residence on Seminole Drive in Salem, AR. on January 8, 2024. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest of Cox and Anna Hamilton with the assistance of the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office.
