South Fork Elementary students Abigail Yarber and Charlie Huddleston have been named Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest state winners.
Yarber is a third-grader and Huddleston is a fifth-grader at South Fork Elementary.
The contest gives students in kindergarten through eighth grade the chance to showcase and receive recognition for their handwriting skills in manuscript or cursive. About 280,000 students nationwide participated in this year’s contest. Abigail and Charlie will receive an award when school is back in session.
