WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Two West Plains residents suffered minor injuries after a crash and vehicle fire in West Plains.
A report from the West Plains Police Department states the accident happened just before 2 am Sunday morning at the intersection of Highway 63 and Gibson Ave. That’s where the vehicle driven by 21-year-old Zachary Young, which was northbound on Highway 63, crashed into the pole at the intersection and caught fire.

Young and a passenger, 20-year-old Aubrey Burcham, suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene, according to the report.
The report says that Young told investigators that they both had fallen asleep before the accident occurred.
