Mountain Home, AR. – A two-vehicle accident reportedly was the culprit in being what knocked out power for over 1,200 people in the Mountain Home area on Thursday, according to an article from the Baxter Bulletin.
The article states that the accident happened just five minutes before noon, and the vehicles involved were a GMC truck and a Ford Sedan. A power pole was damaged as a part of the accident, which also entrapped the driver of the truck before they were rescued by emergency personnel.

The outage is said to have encompassed large parts of Mountain Home, stretching from sections in the northern part of town, all the way down to the location of the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce.
