Two-vehicle crash destroys local business

West Plains, MO. – A two-vehicle crash Friday morning caused an 18-wheeler to crash into a West Plains business. According to law enforcement at the scene, the crash occurred sometime between 5:45 and 6 a.m. on US 63 just outside the eastern city limits of West Plains.

A white northbound semi and trailer clipped the tires off of a J.B.Hunt truck and trailer headed south, causing the white vehicle to lose control, traveling off of the left side of the roadway and striking the western side of Fluffy Puppy, a pet grooming business.

The white semi suffered major damage from the impact with the building. The J.B. Hunt trailer was damaged on the rims and some minor damage to the trailer. The building appeared to have flexed under the impact and may need complete reconstruction.
