Two Vehicle Crash Leads To Injuries Of Three Individuals, Including A Baby

Ava, MO. – Three individuals, including a baby, were injured in a two-vehicle crash.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred on September 7th, 2024, at 6:01 p.m., ten miles south of Ava. Alexis Herndon, 19, of Grove, Oklahoma, was driving a 2017 Ford F250 north on Highway 5 when she failed to yield to a vehicle waiting to make a left turn. Darci Dimirsky, 24, of Wasola, Missouri, was in a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze when it was struck from behind by Herndon’s vehicle. Dimirsky and a baby in the Cruze sustained injuries and were airlifted to Cox South in Springfield for treatment. The report indicated that Dimirsky was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Carrie Crawford, 49, of Grove, Oklahoma, was a passenger in the Ford F250 and sustained minor injuries. She was transported to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri.
