Two people from Willow Springs were injured in a crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. 63 and the commuter parking area inside the Cabool city limits. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that both vehicles involved — a 2019 Dodge Durango and a 2024 Kia Carnival — were totaled and towed from the scene.
Troopers say the crash happened as the Kia attempted to overtake the Durango while the Durango’s emergency lights were activated. The Durango then began a U‑turn, and the Kia struck it on the driver’s side.
The 38‑year‑old Kia driver and a 43‑year‑old female passenger, both from Willow Springs, suffered minor injuries. They were transported by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. The 22‑year‑old Pomona man driving the Durango was not reported injured.
