An 86‑year‑old man and an 86‑year‑old woman from Willow Springs were seriously injured Wednesday when a Ford tractor rolled forward and struck them on County Road 2480.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the tractor continued on, hitting a log and a tree. Both pedestrians were flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

Troopers report the tractor was left at the scene. The crash occurred around 4:43 p.m. and was investigated with assistance from Trooper N.G. Britt.
